Winona State (7-7-1, 4-7-1 NSIC) scored early and went on to win 2-0 over MSU-Moorhead (3-11, 2-10 NSIC) on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors outshot the Dragons 24-5 in the match.

Abby Bohanski scored her eighth goal of the season in the second minute to put the Warriors on top. It was a brilliant individual effort as she dribbled past two defenders and slotted the ball past the keeper’s right side.

Hayley Bach scored her first goal of the year in the 40th minute to double the Winona State lead. After Courtney Wiencek’s shot hit the crossbar Bach put the rebound in the back of the net.

The Dragons had a couple chances in the second half but could not find a way to put any shot on net. MSU-Moorhead’s keeper kept them in the match with five saves in the second half.
