The Winona State Warriors (6-3, 3-2 NSIC South) traveled to Sioux Falls for their final road game of the year to take on NSIC South foe Augustana Vikings (6-3, 3-2 South). The Vikings got the edge over the Warriors, winning the defensive battle 21-20.

The Warriors cut up the Augustana defense to begin the game, scoring a touchdown on just four plays. Paul Preston broke free for a 48-yard rush setting up a 17-yard touchdown connection on the next play from Jack Nelson to Abe Folkerts, giving Winona State a 7-0 lead.

Junior setter McKenna Larsen became the fifth Warrior in program history to have 3,000 assists in a career on Saturday as Winona State (22-3, 13-3 NSIC) swept past Minot State (5-20, 0-16 NSIC). The Warriors racked up 49 kills and 44 digs in route to a 25-11, 25-20, 25-18 victory.

Winona State made quick work of the University of Mary in straight sets, 25-12, 25-11, 25-14. The Warriors hit a whopping .453 in the match, their second highest match total of the season. In each set the Warriors had 16 kills and three errors. The win gives the Warriors victory #21 of the year, the most by a Winona State team since 1993. Winona State went 22-20 in 1993.
