WSU Track Recruits



The Winona State University track and field team has announced the addition of six athletes for the 2017-18 season. The additions come from three different states and compete in several different events. 

Morgan Florek - Marinette, Wis. is a two time WIAA medalist and three-time state qualifier in the shot put. Last year she also qualified for the WIAA state meet in the discus. She was named the 2016 Northeast Conference Field Athlete of the Year. 

Kelsey Judge - Baraboo, Wis. - Baraboo comes to Winona State after a sixth place finish at the Wisconsin state meet in the discus. She also throws the shot put and has two, third place finishes at the conference meet.Judge. She plans to major in nursing at Winona State.

Natalie Nowatzke - Shoreview, Minn. - Mounds View is an all-state and all-conference performer. She competes in the 400, 800, 1600 and 3200 meters. 

Becca Richtman - Elburn, Ill. joins the Warriors with experience in both track and cross country. She is three-time all-conference track athlete and added all-conference cross country to her resume this fall. 

Kristi Springer - Altoona, Wis.  competes in the long and triple jump at Altoona High School. She has a second place finish and sixth place finish in the long jump at the state meet.

Sydney Thompson - Mercer, Wis  was the 2016 D3 WIAA State Champion in the shot put. She is a three time Indianhead Conference Champion in the shot put, winning in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
