Alma City Audit

The Alma City Council approved a full audit of the city's financial accounts in 2017.
City Clerk Linda Torgerson said the city pays to have books audited in standard from annually, but every 4th year the city does a full audit.
The city council approved hiring Bauman Associates, Ltd., of Eau Claire to do a thorough audit of city financial activities for $33,450.

In other matters, Mayor Jim Wilkie announced plans to buy 4 or 5 lots at Shawnee Estates, residential zoned building lots owned by the city.
The city has had difficulty attracting buyers for lots since the land was developed for new housing. Lot prices vary at Shawnee Estates.
Wilkie told the city council he was looking at buying the lots as an investment. The lots are now zoned the same as all other residential property in the city.
