Employee Pay-Buffalo County



The Buffalo County Finance Committee sent resolutions to the county board for 2017 employee pay increases.
    
Pay for non-represented personnel would go up point-67 percent under a proposal passed by the county's human resources committee. 
    
Proposed pay scales and step increases for sheriff's department communication/correction officers was going to be treated in a separate resolution. 
    
A negotiated contract settlement with union deputies employed in the sheriff's department also was scheduled for county board action.   

In other labor matters, cost of employee health insurance coverage will go up 6.5 percent for 2017. The insurance carrier is GHT/WCA Group Health Trust. 
    
The finance committee has approved purchasing a GPS unit for assorted accurate measurement of non-metallic mining reclamation acreage, mapping of snowmobile trails and mapping of county highway culverts. 
    
Public snowmobile trails located in Buffalo County that receive grant funding assistance must be properly mapped by 2018 in order to be eligible for grant money....
