Student-athlete, Jacob French, son of Robert and Amy French, indicated his intent to play baseball for St. Mary’s University by signing an NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Celebratory Signing Form on December 21st.
Jacob, a three year varsity player at Cotter high School, and 3 Rivers All-Conference award winner has a .333 varsity batting average and leads the team with doubles the past two years. Jacob is credited with 34 RBIs during the past two years.
Assistant coach Don Freeman proudly shared that he vividly recalls coaching Jacob as a 13 year old with the Goodview Sandlot, and watched him hit his first ball “out of the park.”
Jacob has been playing for the MN Blizzard the past three years and played with the Winona LeJetz American Legion team last year.
