The Open Enrollment Period for students wishing to enroll at Ridgeway Community School for the 2017-18 school year is going on through January 31st.
New students who register during the open enrollment period will be given equal opportunity to fill remaining spaces available in each of the kindergarten to fifth grade classes. The school's Kindergarten Roundup Open House will be held on Thursday, January 26th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
As a free public charter school there is no charge to attend Ridgeway Community School. Ridgeway follows the public charter school enrollment procedures dictated by Minnesota state law. If there are more student enrollment applications submitted during the Open Enrollment Period that ends on January 31st than there are spaces remaining in each of Ridgeway's classes then a lottery is held to fill the remaining spaces in each class and place students onto a waiting list. This year's lottery will be held on February 1st.
Ridgeway Community School is also currently enrolling preschool-aged students in its 2017-18 Preschool-aged Enrichment Programs on a first-come, first-serve basis. The open house for the Preschool-aged Enrichment Programs, which are fee-based, will be Thursday, March 2nd from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Students enrolled in the Ridgeway's preschool-aged programs are not given priority for enrollment in the school's kindergarten program.
To register for the kindergarten or preschool open houses, make arrangements to visit the school, or to receive an enrollment application or see a list of additional special event and dates contact the school office at 507-454-9566.....
