Two people were jailed Monday after a traffic stop turned up drugs.
Charged with fifth degree possession of a controlled substance were: 47-year-old Laura Lynn Shelton of St. Charles and 42-year-old Jeremy Wayne Polus of Winona.
Police said the vehicle was stopped because it had a brake light out. Shelton was accused of possessing four tenths of a gram of a synthetic drug, Polus was found to be in possession of a pipe with meth residue in it.
Both were jailed following their arrest Monday night. The stop was made on Prairie Island Road.
