A 31-year-old Winona man was jailed early Tuesday on multiple charges following a high speed chase on Interstate 90 that started in Winona County and ended near La Crescent.
Charged with fleeing in a motorvehicle, speeding, reckless driving and driving after revocation was Jack David Taylor.
A patrolling deputy spotted a vehicle on an I-90 frontage road just after midnight and started a pursuit which extended to the La Crescent area where a La Crescent officer took over.
Taylor was arrested after the vehicle crashed near Dresbach. A passenger, identified as 22-year-old Taylor Hope Baker of La Crosse, was cited with fifth degree possession of a controlled substance and introducing contraband to the Winona County Jail. Authorities discovered Baker to be in possession, during the booking procedure, of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.
