WSU Honors

Kathleen Taylor and Mason Rebarchek headline the Warriors 2017 NSIC Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference Award winners, announced on Wednesday by the NSIC. Kathleen Taylor was named the NSIC Newcomer of the Year and Rebarchek was the women’s Coach of the Year. Nine Warriors earned all-conference honors.

In order to be named NSIC All-Conference an individual must finish in the top-three or be a member of a relay team that finished first or second.

Taylor finishes third in both the shot put and discus at the outdoor championships. She will be headed to the NCAA Outdoor Championships to compete in both the shot put and discus. During the indoor season, Taylor was named the NSIC Newcomer of the Year as well.

Rebarchek guided the Warriors to their first NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championship since 2005. It is the third NSIC Championship under Rebarchek; the Warriors won both the indoor and outdoor championships in 2005. He helped five Warriors qualify for the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
