With the first football game just 30 days away the Northern Sun Conference has released its 2017 NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Winona State received 165 points, finishing sixth overall in the conference.

The Warriors are predicted to finish fourth in the NSIC South.

Meanwhile, Winona State will have to replace three of the most prolific offensive stars in school history when the 2017 season gets underway on August 31st against Bemidji State. Guard Jake Gronholz will lead a group of experienced offensive lineman, hoping to bring stability to an offense that needs to replace its starting running back, quarterback and leading receiver.

The defense ranked first in scoring defense last season, allowing a league low 17.6 points per game. They were also first in total defense.

The Warriors signed 27 people for the 2017 season, including 14 players from Wisconsin, 7 from Minnesota, four from Illinois, and one from both Arizona and Indiana......
