Vogel Trial

A 5-day jury trial has been scheduled in Buffalo County Circuit Court for a Winona man accused of six felony charges involving sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl.

32-year-old Jacob Vogel, has pleaded not guilty to two charges of 1st degree child sexual assault, false imprisonment, child sexual exploitation and two other counts

Buffalo County Circuit Judge James Duvall has scheduled a final pre-trial conference on Jan. 5th, and set a jury trial to begin on Feb. 12th.

Investigators claim that Vogel used online social media to entice the girl to meet him in his pickup truck near her residence in the rural Town of Waumandee in March 2016.

Charges in the case were initially filed in Wisconsin federal court where a jury trial scheduled in December 2016 was cancelled and the case returned to circuit court in Buffalo County.

Authorities claim the girl described in detail what happened and produced digital records and video evidence to support her allegations. They also claimed to have evidence found inside Vogel's truck.
