The all-class milk price for Wisconsin dairy producers in June averaged $17.90-cents per hundred pounds, up 50-cents per hundredweight from May.
The USDA said that was $3 higher than what dairy producers received in June 2016.
Wisconsin's milk price was 60 cents higher than the average $17.30 paid nationwide, a 60-cent gain since May.
Only one state, Pennsylvania, had a higher milk price than Wisconsin at $18.20 per hundredweight.
Wisconsin's cheese production in June was nearly 271 million pounds. The Badger State leads the nation in cheese production, which totaled more than 1 billion pounds in June......
