The month of July set some records when it comes to home sales in Winona County.
County Recorder Bob Bambenek says there were 96 home sales in the county during july, a new high for the month. in addition there were 15 home sales over $300,000, also a new high for july.
Bambenek says the number of sales was amazing given the tight number of homes for sale. During July, as well as the first half of 2017, home sales took place in all areas of the county with slightly more than half in the city of Winona.
The number of rural land sales is also up in 2017. to date thirty- four sales have been recorded compared to 23 for the first half of 2016......
