WSU-Education Village

Work is continuing on the Winona State University Education Village project after the university was granted some 25-million dollars to complete the project in the 2017 legislative session.

President Scott Olson says there are two blocks around Lafayette street that are undergoing a complete change.

Three different buildings are also being renovated to make up the Education Village including the former Cotter High School, former John Nett Rec Center, and former Cathedral grade school.

The 25-million dollars allows for phase two of the project to be undertaken. The university previously received nearly six million dollars in state funding for the initial phase.....
