The Boats and Bluegrass Music Festival begins Thursday and runs through Saturday at Prairie Island Campground.
The three-day festival is now in its 13th year, and now attracts attendees nationwide.
Tom and Julie Fassbender started the festival as a marketing event for their business, and then it blossomed to three straight days of music and outdoor fun.
Camping is located just 50 yards from the festival grounds, and many campers bring canoes and kayaks to enjoy the Mississippi.
Some of the big names headlining this year's event include Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Kind Country, Last Revel, Pert Near Sandstone and Dead Man Winter, and Charlie Parr.
