Winona County-Seminar

A seminar on how to create resilient backyards and landscapes will be held at the Winona Middle School on the evening of Tuesday, October 3rd, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

A series of short presentations by landscape consultants and resource management advisors will detail the small changes in landscaping practices homeowners can make to improve our water quality, maintain healthy plant and pollinator communities, and stabilize slopes and hillsides. 

Seminar topics include “Rethinking Lawncare”; “Reducing Turf, Planting Native Grasses & Promoting Pollinators”; “Trees and Stormwater”; “Non-turf Landscaping on Slopes”; and “Rain Garden Lessons Learned”.
