La Crosse police arrested one man and are looking for several others in connection with a home invasion early Thursday.
According to police, several individuals walked into 607 Fifth Ave. S in LaCrosse at about 1:55 a.m. armed with handguns and shotguns and ordered occupants to the ground.
The criminal complaint says the suspects demanded cash and stole property from the home. One person was hit in the head, but was not seriously injured.
Officers located 20-year-old Mykel Carpenter of Winona, at Seventh and Ferry streets. He had a black handkerchief in his possession, and police found a mask and stolen property while tracing his steps to the scene.
He has been arrested and is in jail on armed robbery, criminal damage to property and criminal trespass charges.
