Brush with Kindness-Island City Brewing

Island City Brewing Company and Habitat for Humanity are teaming up for a night to advance "A Brush With Kindness" home repair projects.

On Friday, Oct. 20, Island City will donate $1 from every pint sold to Habitat for Humanity. This all ages event, co-hosted by Art of the Rural/Outpost, will start at 5 p.m. with food for sale by Moosie's Home Cooking with Blooming Grounds Catering. The live music of the James Gang will start at 8 p.m. Come early for food, stay for beer and music, and help Habitat for Humanity in its mission to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.

The James Gang is comprised of talented musicians from around the region, including Matt Cartier of Pert Near Sandstone, Meghan Dudle formerly of the Ditch Lilies and Wild Goose Chase Cloggers, Adam Kiesling formerly of Pert Near Standstone and Corpse Reviver, and Matt Neil formerly of the Mill City Grinders and Wild Goose Chase Cloggers band.

Suggested donation of $5; all ages welcome.
