Lark Toys in Kellogg held its first “Happy Friday” of the season Friday. Once a month, attendees are treated to a live musical book reading and a free carousel ride.
The store named one of the best toy stores in the world by USA Today and Reader’s Digest. It is owned by the family of Miranda Gray-Burlingame, who says Lark Toys is more than a shop. She says it’s a playhouse where kids can let their imagination thrive.
Friday’s festivities began in the bookstore before Gray-Burlingame marched the kids to the carousel in a musical parade.
This is the eighth year that “Happy Fridays” has taken place at Lark Toys. There are six more Happy Fridays left this season.
Preschoolers and their families can enjoy stories, music and movement along with a musical march to the carousel and a free ride.
The remaining dates are: Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Jan. 12, Feb. 9, March 9, April 13.
