Winona State University celebrates Homecoming this weekend with the theme of “All Roads Lead Home.”
The annual WSU Homecoming Parade is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21.
Line-up begins at 9 a.m. on Broadway between Grand and Huff streets and on Harriet Street between Broadway and Fifth Street. These streets will be closed to through traffic, and only parade participants will be allowed to drive down Harriet and Wilson streets around the parade area.
The parade route runs down Huff Street from Broadway to Mark Street (just before the railroad tracks) and should be finished around 11 a.m. After the parade, the Warrior Game Day Experience is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Johnson Street near the Integrated Wellness Complex. There will be local food trucks as well as fun activities including a photo booth, inflatables, live music, and a Junior Warrior Zone for children.
Then, cheer on the WSU Warriors! The football team takes on the Wayne State College Wildcats at 2 p.m. at Altra Federal Credit Union Stadium, and the volleyball team takes on the University of Sioux Falls Cougars at 5 p.m. in McCown Gym.
