Senator Al Franken says he’ll return to work today, amid several allegations of groping.
On Sunday, Franken spoke to several Minnesota media outlets for the first time since accusations of groping were first leveled against him a little more than a week ago. Franken acknowledged that he’s embarrassed and ashamed and that he’s “let a lot of people down.”
Franken says he hopes he can make it up to his constituents and that he can regain their trust. Franken says he does not intend to resign and he says he will cooperate with a Senate ethics investigation into his behavior.
