Conservationist Brooke Muhlack submitted her resignation to accept new employment with a private company in Iowa, county officials said.
Kellen Black, a resource management specialist employed in the land conservation department, resigned several weeks ago, according to county records.

In other related department news, the Mississippi River Regional Planning Commission is assisting Buffalo County with updating its outdoor recreation plan.  

A local group of people was going to be organized to help in laying out goals and objectives of a new recreation plan.

An engineering company is currently working on a feasibility study of creating a trail system in Buffalo County.
