Education Day



Winona State University will host a Soils and Human Health Education Day for high school students across southeastern Minnesota Thursday, March 11th in Pasteur Hall..

The program, which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., is designed to inspire students in grades 11-12 and their teachers to learn more about agriculture, science and health. Attendees will learn about the connections between healthy mineralized soils and human health as well as the importance of a local food system.

Emphasis will be placed on nutrition and healthy food choices, energy savings, and the economic impacts on families and communities.              

There is no fee for students and teachers attending the event, and lunch will be provided from local food sources.
