The City of Winona stands to benefit from the final bonding bill approved by the House and Senate Thursday.
Representative Gene Pelowski says the measure contains a pot of money from which the Winona Port Authority can apply for construction of a new storage shed at the commercial harbor. Whether all of the money earmarked for Winona in the bill remains in the bill depends on how active Governor Tim Pawlenty is with his line-item veto pen.
