WMS-Honor Choirs


Lily Compton, Morgan Rinn, and Viggo Smith, 8th grade students at Winona Middle School, were selected to participate in the State 7-8 Girls’ and State 7-8 Boys’ Honor Choirs of the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota on Saturday, November 18, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN. Lily is a soprano I, Morgan is an alto, and Viggo is a tenor II in the 8th Grade Choir at WMS under the direction of Courtney Zupancich.

Honor Choir rehearsals began at 8:00 a.m. on November 18, with guest boy choir conductor Steven Hoemberg and guest girl choir conductor Andrea Ramsey. The final performance took place in the sanctuary of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church at 5:30 p.m.

Congratulations to these students on this outstanding accomplishment!

Environmental Services-Winona Health


Winona Health’s Environmental Services staff received a 100-percent score on their Sodexo/EcoSure Third Party Safety Audit. The rigorous audit includes questions regarding safety management programs, making sure the Safety Data Sheets match every product we use and a physical tour and inspection of various rooms and spaces throughout Winona Health. “We are fortunate to have a dedicated Environmental Services staff who understand the importance and value of the work they do to ensure a safe and sanitary environment in an organization that runs 24/7/365.” said Greg Towner, facilities director at Winona Health. Winona Health Environmental Services team includes housekeepers, floor technicians, and laundry professionals.
